Illicium (Anise-tree, Anise tree). A small evergreen wild plant, cultivated in China and Indochina. In Russia as a wild plant is not found, it is cultivated in Abkhazia on the Black Sea coast. Fruit - a complex leaflet in the form of six-eight-pointed star (hence the name - Illicium).
With the purpose of treatment are used seeds and roots. In everyday life - as a spice and in scientific medicine - to improve the taste of medicines sheniya; it is a part of Brusttee.
In Traditional medicine, drugs of anise are applied with abdominal pain, fever, malaria, plague and epilepsy (a decoction of the seeds or oil from them), as well as with worms (with the peel of the root).
Application. 1 (with worms): brewed 2 teaspoons of the root in a glass of boiled water and taken on an empty stomach for 1 st. spoon until roundworms comes out. 2: brewed 4 teaspoons of root in a glass of boiling water, infused for 2 hours in a warm place and taken 2-3 tbsp. spoon 3 times a day.
Impatiens. Common names include impatiens, jewelweed, touch-me-not, snapweed. Annual herb with nodular translucent stem height to 100 cm Leaves are alternate, oblong-ovate, juicy, on short petioles, with coarsely toothed edges. The flowers are drooping, yellow, with a spur, in racemes. Corolla is five-petalled, with 4 petals, fused by pairs. It flowers from late June to September. Cultivated on the windows of the houses where it blooms constantly. Broken or torn plant withers quickly. Fruits - oblong bolls, drop-down at maturity and spreading seeds. The plant is poisonous.
It is widespread in Western and Eastern Siberia. It grows in moist shady ravines.
In traditional medicine, the infusion of herbs in small doses is drunk in dropsy, kidney stones and bladder. Large doses act as an emetic. Externally infusion is used for washing wounds. Swabs, soaked with a solution are applied as a lotion for wounds, ulcers and haemorrhoidal bumps.
Application. Infusion: 1 teaspoon of powdered herb is infused for 20-30 minutes in 1 cup of warm boiled water and taken 1 - 2 tbsp. spoon 3 times a day before meals.
