Atragene Siberian. A small shrubby vine of buttercup family, 0.5-3 m in height, is capable of twine around a support. Leaves are one or triple-trigeminal with oblong, serrate, pubescent leaves. It flowers in early summer. The flowers are large, yellowish-white, arranged singly in the leaf axils. Fruit - a lot of nuts, broadly wedge-shaped seed-buds.
Atragene Siberian is extended to the north-east of European Russia, Western and Eastern Siberia, the mountains of Central Asia and the Far East. It grows in the coniferous and deciduous forests, forest edges, forest meadows in the mountains on rocky slopes, rises beyond the forest zone.
Medicinal raw materials are grass and flowers. They are harvested in the period of flowering and partial fruiting plants, cutting off the upper part of the softwood. Grass contains vitamin C, flavonoids, saponins, and a small amount of alkaloids. In fruits is found fatty oil.

Leaves are an irritant, so the plants are effective drugs to stimulate metabolism in malnourished patients with a sharp decrease of metabolic processes. Earlier atragene was consumed internally and externally in conjunction with buttercup flowers and lumbago to treat ulcers and wounds involving putrid decay of tissues.
The combination of anti-inflammatory, tonic and bactericidal action allows the use of Siberian atragene drugs during inflammation of the gastric mucosa, edema of various origins, epilepsy, headache treatment against the background of colds, women's health conditions and the treatment of wounds and scabies.
In Tibetan medicine infusion of flowers is recommended for hemoptysis, abscess and other lung diseases, inflammatory processes in the liver abscesses and as a healing agent.
To prepare the herb broth 1 teaspoon of minced raw is poured with 1 cup of hot water, heated in a water bath for 30 minutes, filtered when it's still hot and the volume is brought up to the original. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day after meals.
When using the infusion of flowers 1 teaspoon of raw is poured with 1 cup of boiled water for 30 minutes and filtered. Take 2 tbsp. spoon 3 times a day with meals.
